How it's calculated

Enter your date of birth, and the age calculator counts full years first, then full months, then the remaining days up to today. To find your age on any other date, change “Age at date” to that date. Example: someone born on 15 March 2000 is 26 years, 7 months and 5 days old on 20 October 2026. Their next birthday is 15 March 2027. Many jobs, admissions and exams in Pakistan set an age limit “as on” a closing date. Enter that closing date in “Age at date” to see exactly how old you will be on that day, and whether you qualify. To calculate age from date of birth in Excel or Google Sheets, use =DATEDIF(A1, TODAY(), “Y”) where A1 holds your date of birth. Use “YM” for the extra months and “MD” for the extra days. This calculator uses the Gregorian calendar. A Hijri (Islamic) year is about 11 days shorter, so your age in Hijri years is slightly higher.
